Tadej Pogačar, in the yellow jersey, descends the Col du Galibier during Stage 20 of the 2026 Tour de France — the race's highest point at 2,642 m, reached via a 17.7 km Hors Catégorie climb before the drop toward the valley on the way to the stage finish at Alpe d'Huez . Pogačar controlled the race from the front all day on this brutal 170.9 km Queen Stage, which packed over 5,400 m of climbing into a single day and effectively sealed his GC lead heading into Paris.
